About Us
SALVEXIA was founded in 2019 to produce and distribute high-quality, GMO-free medicinal and aromatic plant seeds. Currently, we cultivate Common Sage (Salvia officinalis L.) and Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill. subsp. vulgare var. vulgare) on more than 15 hectares using integrated plant protection methods. Some of our lands are under ecological conversion and our long-term goal is to switch entirely to organic farming. The Hungarian certification of seeds is carried out by the national authority based on the international ISTA test methods. Irrespectively, we regularly check the germination of our seeds in our in-house laboratory. Our quality principle is that the purity of the produced seeds should be minimum 97% and the germination capacity should be at least 80%.
Our strengths
Thanks to the appropriate growing conditions, the necessary abilities for the development of crops are provided. The warming climate of the Carpathian Basin ensures a favourable opportunity for the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants of Mediterranean origin. These seeds generate plants which adapt more easily to the increasingly extreme environmental effects. Due to their high active substance contents these local varieties serve as excellent raw materials for the processing in the medicinal and flavoring industry. Thanks to our expanding cultivation and storage capacity, we are able to continuously supply our customers with seeds.
